Pipe Descaling
Over time, hard scale, corrosion, and mineral deposits can form inside older clay, cast iron, and PVC pipes. This build-up reduces internal diameter, restricts flow, and increases the risk of blockages or system failure. Pipe descaling removes these obstructions, restoring performance and preventing further deterioration.
At HC Environmental, we use mechanical cutters and high-speed rotary jet heads to strip away deposits without damaging the host pipe. Descaling is often used as a pre-treatment before CIPP lining or patch repairs, helping ensure clean, stable conditions for structural rehabilitation.
